The second super crafty Christmas tutorial is a top down raglan sleeve cardigan. It’s been designed for 9/10 year old girls and is a project by Designs By Phanessa who has created it for us, using our new spray paint effect yarn, Piuma.
Phanessa is a Californian knitter and blogger with a cheerful fresh style. You can find an amazing gallery of cardigans, scarves, hats, pot-holders and much more on her Instagram. However, her true passion is children’s knitwear. So, we thought she’d be perfect for this project for children. And we weren’t wrong!
We are crazy about this girls’ top down cardigan (or even unisex, as pink tones don’t have to just be for girls) as it’s a classic cardigan, refreshed by the pattern from our Piuma spray paint edition. The watercolour effect comes from a special spray pattern on the yarn, turning a plain colour into a multicoloured one!
Now let’s grab our needles and follow Phanessa’s instructions. Your top down cardigan will come together in the blink of an eye!
The Knit Cardigan is a classic top-down raglan style cardigan. Worked in one piece, it’s a great beginner’s pattern.
