The DHG yarn collection is getting bigger and bigger. Today, it’s time to present yet another new yarn to you: Lincoln! 100% Made in Italy and comes in 10 gorgeous colours. Cool and light, it’s ideal for making those summer pieces. To welcome Lincoln properly we’ve come up with a capsule collection made up of three pieces – a swimsuit, a sundress and a net bag – carefree and timeless.
“Holiday” by Madonna blasting out on the earphones and time to get ready for the holidays!
Lincoln in Cinque Terre
Giulia was chosen to be the model for this mini collection, a lovely twenty something smiley and witty girl. She’s a graphic design student who loves travelling, making risotto and hanging out with her younger brothers. An ace at shopping and a careful driver and she’s the right person to talk to about serious things but can also make you cry with laughter! An all-round ideal 20-year-old. It was a barrel of laughs, doing the photoshoot with her in the incredible setting of Monterosso, an ancient maritime village in Cinque Terre.
In this project there is also someone else that closely resembles us. A Made in Italy brand that transmits Italian style all over the world incorporating passion and renewed traditions, the one and only Lanapo! Lanapo produces simple but distinctive sandals that illustrate the sea, Liguria and dreams. White leather sandals decorated with small studs were chosen for Giulia. We think the duet Lincoln-Lanapo is perfect! Don’t you agree?
Three tutorials in a class of their own for a larger-than-life summer!
So, as we said before, we’ve made three amazing items using our new yarn Lincoln.
The first one we’ve got to show you is an exquisite crocheted swimsuit. It looks good with a pair of jeans (like Giulia has got on) or with a light floaty skirt. We’ve made it with Lincoln yarn using the col. Antilles but if you fancy making this amazing swimsuit yourselves, in a colour to your liking, just check out the tutorial.
The second one from the capsule collection dedicated entirely to the Cinque Terre is a multicolored sundress. Again, we’ve used Lincoln but using four different colours: Milk, Rust, Tuareg and Fuchsia.
Read on for the full pattern on how to make a crocheted sundress.
The last project that we have to show you is a real must for the summer! An oversized net bag made of pure cotton Lincoln using the colour Moss. Spacious and light, it’s an absolute must-have beach accessory. If you fancy having a go at making one yourselves just follow our step by step tutorial.
A big thanks to Lanapo not only for the collaboration but also for the magnificent sandals! You should all take a look at their site, you won’t regret it!
Last but not least a heartfelt thanks to Lemissmatch for the outstanding beauty of the photos and styling.
